Tom Alexander began his career in the architectural discipline with the very prominent firm of Ankrom Moisan Architects. Founded by Architects Stewart Ankrom and Tom Moisan, Ankrom Moisan was formed in 1983 to provide integrated architectural, interior design, and urban design services. The mission of Ankrom Moisan is simple: To Create Places Where People and Communities Thrive.
The experience within the Ankrom Moisan Architects firm proved to be an incredible and inspiring working environment. Tom had the great pleasure of working alongside some of the most creative people in the field. His time there provided him with an indelible education at his fingertips and the knowledge gained is apparent in his work today.

CAD Lead responsibilities include:
- Create, draft and edit CAD drawings from engineer’s and architect’s sketches
- Drawing quality control – Maintain office and National CAD standards
- Develop and maintain AutoCAD drawing folder structure
- Maintain xref files and project sheet files
- Create project sheet files – Implement title blocks, xref’s, viewport layouts
- Consultant drawing coordination
- Plot and assemble package for distribution
- Archiving projects at completion of package
Tom worked with me as the CAD lead on the Rolling Hills Community Church Expansion and Remodel Project as well as several other major document packages while at AMAA. I recommend him without hesitation as a CAD operator and CAD lead. While working on this complex project, I often relied on Tom to organize and put together contract documents for design development and construction document packages. Tom also assisted in researching products and accessing reference materials. His resourcefulness, open attitude, attention to priority, and technical ability, really made these projects through and successful.
When we went into production on construction documents, Tom worked with me on every step of the process, sitting in on meetings and working with both in-house staff as well as consultants, from the moment the production was set in motion through the release of the documents months later.
During this time, Tom was an effective team player, often serving as my liaison to other CAD and production staff. During the life of this project, Tom often was called on to work on and coordinate other projects, while maintaining his primary assignment. His ability to work collaboratively with me and other project managers, effectively communicating both abilities and limitations while working on multiple tasks was outstanding.
